Peugeot plant affects Coventry socially as well as economically. We cannot deny that with so many employees, PSA Peugeot Citroen is a ‘source of life' in Coventry. B. My job in the company I had 3 different jobs in Peugeot: ➢ Car mechanic First, I was car mechanic in the workshop. This job contains 2 main activities. [...]
[...] This factor can explain why they do not like the managers. Few times a day, the managers check the state of the different jobs in the workshop and the employees hate it. They consider that it is not the best place for the manager and it could be better if he stayed in his office and did his job. Most of the employees think the managers are lazy and this is a reason why they try to work less as possible. [...]
[...] The main difference I noticed at work was the meal they have. Lunch time is taken earlier than in France. It is their main meal. They don't eat properly at the diner and only if they are hungry. The diner is earlier too. It is generally from 5 to 6 pm and then people go out especially in pubs. Another big difference is the English labour market. Most of English people change many times their job and they are not as afraid as French people. [...]

[...] I had to enter some data written by mechanics on the job cards such as ordered parts, names of the mechanics, required times, I had to check existing information in the computer and compare it with the other one. When I detected some differences, I had to ask the mechanic for the reasons and try to resolve the problem alone or with my colleagues.
