La société Coca-Cola, officiellement nommée The Coca-Cola Company, est une entreprise américaine spécialisée dans les boissons non alcoolisées. Il s'agit de l'une des plus importantes sociétés américaines dont la notoriété et la popularité est mondiale. Elle est, en 2012, la 3ème entreprise agroalimentaire du monde, en termes de chiffre d'affaires, derrière PepsiCo et Nestlé. Son siège est localisé à Atlanta, en Géorgie, dans le sud-est des États-Unis, et son PDG est Muhtar Kent. Elle est surtout connue pour son produit phare, le Coca-Cola. Depuis la fin de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, cette boisson originale est, dans l'imaginaire collectif, un symbole de l'américanisme.Le Coca-Cola est une marque déposée en 1887 d'un soda, crée aux États-Unis. La forme de la bouteille elle-même est déposée le 16 novembre 1916. Elle tire son nom de sa première composition : la feuille de coca et l'utilisation de noix de kola, la boisson était alors vendue par son inventeur le pharmacien Pemberton, comme remède miraculeux elle avait à l'époque une couleur de type caramel, et était fournie dans une bouteille verte avant la conception de celle conçue par Raymond Loewy.
